Divine Medical & Cosmetic Skin Centre Maryborough was established in November 2014 to provide the surrounding suburbs with an ultra modern dual medical facility by allowing patients appropriate access to both inner and outer health.
Our ultra modern facilities feature the latest technology in the early detection, treatment and on-going care of skin cancers and skin conditions. We pride ourselves on providing quality care with an array of services all within our facility. We are proud of our spacious, relaxed environment, tastefully equipped, family friendly centre where you will be seen by highly professional yet friendly male and female doctors. Our patients will feel comfortable knowing they are receiving the best care and have access to onsite pathology and in close proximity to chemists, radiology and shopping complex.
It has ample front, side and rear parking with easy access to the centre. We use the most current medical programs, technology and software with the main focus being of quality patient care. The centre open 7 days a week for the added convenience for our patients. He is married to a Family Medical Practitioner with 2 beautiful children and enjoys football, swimming, reading and shopping in his spare time.

Dr Florence Fowodu, a very professional, compassionate and pleasant Medical Practitioner, graduated from medical school in 2004. She has been in clinical practice since then in W. Africa where she attained her Fellowship Award in Haematology as a specialist. She relocated to Australia in 2015 to attain a Masters in Public Health. She then proceeded to work at Belmont District Hospital, NSW.
Her strong areas include the treatment of blood cancers and disorders, diagnosis and management of complex, chronic and multiple system disorders. She also has interest in women and child Health, chronic diseases management and Health promotions. She is married with two lovely daughters who are pleased to relocate to our beautiful Bay. Dr Soogun has joined us from South Africa with over 13 years of experience in all areas of general medicine, with a special focus in chronic disease management, diabetes, pain management, HIV management and palliative care. He takes a holistic and patient-centred approach with all of his clients. His main goal is to provide each client with the dedicated and individualised health care they deserve. His clinical and medical skills are only strengthened with his remarkable background in family medicine.
Dr Soogun initially graduated with B.Sc Anatomy (1996). He went further to achieve Bachelor in Medicine & Surgery (2005) from University of Ilorin. He has Masters in Family Medicine and subsequently Fellowship in Family Medicine from the Colleges of Family Physicians, South Africa. With over 15 years of experience in the medical field, Dr. Abi is a dedicated and skilled practitioner. She completed her medical education at the University of Ibadan, Nigeria in 2001 and began her career as a General Practitioner with the Lagos State Health Management Board. In 2007, she relocated to South Africa where she continued her work as a General Practitioner and specialized in Family Medicine. Dr. Abi earned a Diploma in Child Health in 2008, followed by a Diploma in HIV Management in 2009. In 2015, she obtained her MMED in Family Medicine from the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa.
Dr. Abi is a Fellow of the College of Family Physicians of South Africa and brings a wealth of experience and expertise to her current role. While she has broad experience in all areas of medicine, she has a particular interest in chronic disease management, pediatrics, women’s and reproductive health, indigenous medicine, and mental health. Her patient-centered philosophy centers on providing the best possible care to all her patients.

Medicinal Cannabis is a legal, high quality medicine that has been prescribed by doctors since the 1900’s, medicinal cannabis hasn’t been linked to any deaths to this day.

It is our Practice Policy that results are to be given by your GP Doctor. Test results require an appointment with the Doctor. Your GP may be able to provide Telephone consults for existing patients that have seen a GP at the Practice in person within the last 12 months.
We do offer after hour’s service on a shared roster by our GP’s. There is a call out fee of $150 which will be privately billed to the patient.

Our practice is committed to preventive care. We offer a reminder system for pap smears, immunisations, blood test and other preventive health services appropriate to your care. If you do not wish to be part of this system, please advise your Doctor.
An appointment is required by your doctor to discuss your condition with you before referring to a specialist.
We encourage where possible that you try to obtain your scripts during consultation. If repeat scripts is needed, kindly make an appointment to see one of the Doctors, where the medical condition for which the scripts are being written can be checked. E-Prescriptions is also offered in the clinic to pharmacists who accept e-scripts (called ‘tokens’). Your GP will be able to issue your scripts to you via your token (which is your prescription) on a link send by SMS to your mobile phone.
We take your concerns seriously. Please feel free to talk to your Doctor, Practice Manager or a staff member about any problems you have with our services. It is our believe that problems are best dealt within the practice. However, if you feel there is a matter you wish to take up outside the practice, you can contact the Office of the Health Ombudsman on 133 646 or visit oho.qld.gov.au
Most of our consults are bulb billed except certain services like skin checks/consult and other cosmetic services.

We do have an appointment system in place to minimise your waiting time which can be booked through an online booking system via our website. Appointments can be made for any practitioner of your choice online or by calling our friendly receptionists. We accept walk in appointments in our Bundaberg clinic. A routine appointment is 15 minutes. Due to unforeseen circumstances, such as an emergency, delays can sometimes occur. Your patience would be appreciated if this should happen before your appointment. We do not tolerate bad behaviour or any abuse towards all staff, and if you show unacceptable behaviour, your file will become inactive and you will be asked to leave the practice. We ask patients to arrive on time for their appointment, so others are not inconvenienced.
Our GP’s do offer home visits to existing patients. Your treating GP will organise this with you.
We can be contacted though telephone and email. Urgent calls can be put through to our doctor and if not urgent, a message will be taken and passed on.
Please note that emails are not encouraged if response is needed in a timely manner. We allow between 6-24 hours to respond.
